Ergo 21 Seat Cushions and Lumbar Support Cushions are an aid for back pain, Leg pain, numb buttocks and pressure sores.
As reported in the Nursing Journal, the most common cause of low back pain is an injury to muscles in your back. It is very rare that back pain is caused by serious spinal problems such as infection or a tumor.
You can strain or injure back muscles while lifting heavy, playing sports or even while getting out of a car. I have seen many get in the car by putting all the weight on the right leg. This puts great pressure or the joints and hips. The proper way is to just put your fanny first and then lift both the legs and twist and get in. This simple method alone can prevent a host of issues like torn meniscuses, right hip injury etc.
Poor posture is another biggie. Make sure that your chin is facing the middle of the monitor of your computer screen. If using a laptop, get a laptop stand to get this in proper position. Many laptop users get their neck and shoulders frozen and feel shooting pain down their arms simulating a heart attack and end up in ER.
Depression, anxiety, stress and tension can increase your risk for low back pain. Walking, meditation, talking to a friend, corpse pose in Yoga are some tools to combat stress.
Your healthcare provider can examine you and review your health history and advise you to take it easy for a few days, avoid strenuous activity and heavy lifting. And, tell you to take pain medicine such as aspirin or ibuprofen. Using a heat pad also helps.
For a healthy back, your healthcare provider will teach you exercises that help strengthen the muscles that support your back. Very few people with low back pain have a serious problem that requires surgeries. As reported in the journal, if your healthcare provider believes your pain may be caused by nerve injury, tumor, infection, kidney stones, or a problem with your bones, you may have one or more tests in a hospital or radiology center for diagnosis.
How can you prevent low back pain?
- Lift smartly. Hold the object close to the body, keep your back straight and your feet apart and bend your knees. Don’t twist your body or reach while lifting.
- Exercise regularly. Ask your health care provider which exercises are right for you.
- Don’t slouch. Keep your back straight when sitting and standing.
- Watch your weight. Just ten pounds of extra weight, puts 30 pounds of pressure on the knees and can strain your back.
- Take a break. At work use a chair with lumbar support or use a lumbar cushion. Get up every 10 or 15 minutes to stretch and take frequent breaks.
Here are some testimonials for our Ergo 21 Seat Cushions that are better than Gel Seat Cushions or just Foam Seat Cushions.
We use the LiquiCell Technology – Liquid-filled Membranes to keep the blood flow under the tail-bone and thighs. If your job involves sitting or driving or if you are looking for a good wheel chair cushion, then look at our LiquiCell Video that shows how pressure sores, numbness and vertical pressure is reduced when you sit on LiquiCell Membranes.

I have to say this cushion has gotten me back to feeling like myself again. I sit 8 hours in an office chair working at a desk and the rest of the day in my wheelchair. After overextending my sitting, I had a terribly sort butt until I got this cushion. I was hesitant to spend that much money but it is well worth it. Steve, the President, called to ask about my satisfaction and talk about their other products. This company seems amazing, very smart, and loyal to their customers. This company will be my “go to” for Cushions-I will be looking into their Liquicell pillow case!
5.0 out of 5 starsHusband was not able to sit more that 10 minutes …
By Amazon Customer on February 16, 2016
Husband was not able to sit more than 10 minutes in chairs, cars, on couch or in bed due to back issues (massive scar tissue build up from multiple back surgeries, stenosis and nerve damage) but this has helped to extend his sitting time to where he can have dinner with the family and not in bed. Thank you!

I bought it as a present for my husband. He commutes a lot. Now after almost one year of use he still thank me for this special relaxing gift. His back is not hearing anymore and his seat becomes comfy and cozy.

Brilliant product. My husband has been complaining about his back when he sits down but with this supportive cushion he can sit down with way less pain. He takes it with him everywhere he goes, especially when driving! I highly recommend this product!

Really love this product. Benefits are as advertised. Buy this cushion — you will love it. My husband suffered with getting stuff and weak when sitting for a long period of time. With this cushion he springs up. No other cushion has had this result. Excellent product that delivers
Our Ergo 21 Lumbar Cushion is also a best seller. It is loved by Cab Drivers, Uber Drivers, long distance driving. It works great on a recliner or on a sofa (you may need a small pillow to make up for the depth if you sofa is deep)

I big hit with me. Made a big difference while cabbing for 12-hour day shifts. The prior ordered and received the ERGO21 lumber support was so good that a few days of using it, I went and ordered this ERGO21 seat cushion. I am a 12 hour a day taxi driver and to try to eliminate the pain of sitting in the same position for each 12-hour day, I bought via Amazon both your lumber and seat cushions for $77 each. I do not know how I lived without both supports. I have spread the word throughout our large taxi fleet.

After purchasing at least 20 other lumbar cushions, this is the ONLY one that truly works. I am going to try the Ergo21 seat cushion next. I intend to bring this lumbar cushion to my next pain management appointment, so that maybe the doctor can recommend to some of his other patients.
